Over the last few weeks, as hospitals, scientists, and governments attempt to get a handle on COVID-19, communities around the globe are in various stages of lock-down. In Canada, schools closed, followed closely by universities and colleges, our border, non-essential services, and our parks and playgrounds. And this is likely only the beginning.

Out of this darkness, however, shine cracks of light. Tiny signs of togetherness, community, and spirit-lifting that show the world that we need each other now more than ever, and that there are so many ways to share the gifts we have been given. The intention of this website is to document some of these stories: what folks across the country are doing to keep hope alive and well. We’ll kick things off with a few of our favourite things that have surfaced over the past few weeks, and grow our network to include artists, makers, writers, and creatives of all kinds! Watch this space for information on how to share your light with fellow Canadians.
